Is Niagara A Good Place to Build?

In recent years - as in most markets in and near the GTA - Niagara has seen a rise in prices for properties across the spectrum. The Average Sale Price of a home in the region in January of 2017 soared from $273,176 the year previous to $337,888, according to the Niagara Association of REALTORS®. Since then, stats have continued to be positive.

Where Do I Start?

The best place to begin your custom home building journey is to consider what style of house you'd like to build as well as how much you'd like to spend. From there, set up a meeting with us and our architect to see what we can build for you.

How Long Does It Take?

The average time to build a custom home is anywhere between 5 and 7 months. This of course depends on size and finishings but does not include time on planning, design and obtaining necessary permits.

What Does It Cost?

This is perhaps one of the most common questions we receive as builders of custom homes. Of course, the answer varies depending on a number of factors including: location, finishings, square footage, etc. We can say that the 3 major contributors to price are Flooring, Countertops and Cabinets.

Do You Have An Architect?

Am I Protected?

New homeowners in Ontario are protected with Tarion and the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act.

Tarion is a private corporation established by statute in 1976, to regulate new home builders and protect the rights of new home buyers. Tarion administers the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act, which sets out the warranty protection that new homeowners are entitled to in Ontario.

Tarion works hard every day to serve the public interest by, first and foremost, protecting consumers and their new home purchase. Tarion investigates homeowner warranty claims; resolve warranty disputes between homeowners and builders; provide deposit and delayed closing protection for new home buyers; and prosecute illegal builders. Further, they regulate new home builders and ensure they meet a province-wide standard of technical competence and financial capacity.
